About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Specialist to provide full-time, on-site technical support for a healthcare facility in the Southern New Mexico region (Alamogordo/ Ruidoso). The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a professional environment, supporting end users, maintaining network and server systems, and ensuring secure and reliable IT operations.



Key Responsibilities:

-Provide hands-on technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
-Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory.
-Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and client systems.
-Monitor system performance, perform routine backups, and maintain antivirus/security updates.
-Troubleshoot network connectivity issues (LAN/WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi).
-Support deployment and maintenance of electronic health record (EHR) and related healthcare applications.
- Coordinate with remote IT teams for system updates, patching, and troubleshooting escalations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and activity logs.
- Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards (HIPAA, federal IT policies) when handling user or system data.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of IT support or systems administration experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, and network fundamentals.

  • Experience supporting end users in a structured or regulated environment.

  • Prefer experience supporting EHR systems such as RPMS, VistA, or similar healthcare platforms
